The Secret – Law of Attraction and this Peace Blog

Posted on June 21, 2007. Filed under: 0. Peace, 1. World Peace, The Secret |

Recently I came in contact with a very powerful book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne which really solidified for me, the approach that we used for the Break Down the Walls blog/project.

The approach for this World Peace forum we had chosen was one of focusing the conversations and discussions around Peace and what would be possible if it was achieved and real. We had consciously decided to avoid having the discussions focus on what is in the way of having peace or what things were holding peace back.

This approach aligned strongly with the “Law of Attraction” – one of the core messages of video and book “The Secret” which has taken the world by storm and is featured on many news, TV and talk shows.

“The Secret” presents and discusses “the law of attraction” which states that you attract what you think about, and what you focus your thoughts on. In other words that you manifest what you think about.  This applies for both positive things that you want to manifest and negative things that you don’t want to manifest.

People generally understand and believe that peace is a good thing. There is consensus on this. However, we still have many conflicts and wars, with its heart breaking consequences that we hear about every day. So what are we missing, why is this happening?.

The “Break Down The Walls” blog aspires to show what is missing.. We (the initiators of this blog) believe that we as humans are focusing so much on the horrors of war and the lack of peace that what is manifesting in our world is more of war and lack of peace.

We aim to help Peace be manifested by shifting the conversations and thinking onto the greatness of living in peace. We believe that discussions such as these will inspire people to the possibilities of peace and create the conditions for people to overcome hurdles and obstacles that now might seem insurmountable; in short that such discussions will result in Peace being manifested in the different parts of the world, and in the World in general.

Another fascinating core concept explained in “The Secret” is that there is abundance in the Universe, that there is more than enough to go around to meet everyone’s needs. This concept is discussed very clearly in the following excerpt from “The Secret” (Page 147).

“There is a lie that acts like a virus within the mind of humanity. And that lie is, “There’s not enough good to go around. There’s lack and there’s limitation and there’s just not enough.” And that lie has people living in fear, greed, stinginess, and lack becomes their experience. So the world has taken a nightmare pill.

“The truth is that there’s more than enough good to go around. There are more than enough creative ideas. There’s more than enough love. There’s more than enough joy. All of this begins to come through a mind that is aware of its own infinite nature.”

If there was unlimited resources and abundance now in your life what will open up for you? How would you live your life?

If there was unlimited resources and abundance in the world what will the world be like?

Please take a moment and post your response to the above questions. Please post your inspirations and inspire us.

Peace and Brotherhood – Rev. Martin Luther King

Posted on June 1, 2007. Filed under: 0. Peace, 1. World Peace |

As we look at World Peace and what will be possible for mankind, for each of us, for our children and future generations,  I’d like to quote something from a great man who stood for peace and building brotherhood among people – Rev. Martin Luther King Jr..

His inspirational words of hope and conviction about the possiblity of Peace were:

“I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become reality. I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.”
Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.
