About

“Break Down the Walls” is a project that is committed to building Understanding , Tolerance, Love and Peace in the world. It intends to do this by calling on people, to join us in inspiring discussions and sharing, so that we can all be inspired to embrace understanding , tolerance, Love and Peace. By doing this we aim to initiate a chain reaction of people inspiring more people, one person at a time – to break down the walls we create that divide us all and build Understanding, Love and Peace in the World.

Our first thrust towards achieving this is to use the power of the internet to generate discussions that will inspire people to stand for Peace by imagining what would be possible if Peace were are reality. tearing down walls that exist in their lives, and that will inspire them to use creative ways to inspire others. Towards this end this blog at WorldUnderstandingAnPeace.com is such a way of harnessing the power of the internet/web to reach people around the globe and engage them in such discussions.

Who are we?

We are a group of individuals who are interested in promoting World Understanding, Peace and Love. We are not part of any political, religious or other organization. We are open to embracing and including people from various geographic locations, different backgrounds, political affiliations and beliefs. As our intention is to build understanding we aim to be as inclusive as possible. We are committed to creating inspirational discussions, and working to keep the exchanges as positive conversations on ideas that don’t turn confrontational or into shouting matches.

We invite different opionions:

We invite different opinions and ideas on issues of peace. We value diversity of opinions and vigorous discussions of  ideas because they help foster knowledge, test ideas and enrich them, and build understanding all around. The key thing is to pull back from needless name calling and emotional attacks that we feel don’t foster open discussions where people can present or entertain different ideas.

The posts in this “Break Down the Walls” blog are NOT necessarily the viewpoints that all the members of the blog agree with.   We agree on the main principles of the blog, but we do not march to one narrow set of ideas or beliefs.

Way to go folks! I like the tack you’re taking with the site.

I’ve (a) dropped an entry into the blog (as the trackback shows) and (b) added Break Down the Walls to the blogroll on a Pacficist Posse. PP’s a pretty quiet site, but perhaps it’ll generate a little traffic for you. Of course, I hope that traffic will turn into people thinking about the ideas you’re promoting and that thinking will, in turn, result in more people advocating peace.

However, his detention has not stopped Xiaobo from
acting as an outspoken critic of Chinese authorities. In fact, they
are chosen to “make you laugh and then make you think. There are lots of people all over the world doing this.

Appreciation to my father who shared with me about
this blog, this website is actually remarkable.

Hello to every one, for the reason that I am genuinely keen of reading this
blog’s post to be updated daily. It consists of fastidious data.
